Notes on Creativity
What is creative work? For teachers and parents, please also see Links.
It is anything which you have thought of yourself, or thought of in a different way to others.
Creating something usually makes you feel good because you know that you have done something unique (one of a kind) and special.
Creative ideas often come when you feel inspired, that is to say very interested and enthusiastic. Perhaps a teacher or your parents have helped you to feel inspired in certain subjects, so these subjects may be the ones you feel more ready to draw or write about.

It also helps if you feel you are good at and have confidence in a certain subject.
See examples of creative work by looking at some of the work in the galleries - there are lots of other children's creations there which may give you ideas.
If you send in a piece of work you are also inspiring the other people who see it - and everyone will feel more confident about being creative. Sharing creativity is really important as it keeps new ideas going.
Keep creating !
